Clubs and Activities
General Information
In general, after-school clubs begin in October and end in May. Any flyers that clubs issue will be available through the homeroom teacher and can be found on the school website. Some clubs have limited space so it is important that if interested, students bring in the required paperwork as soon as they are able to. Please note that some clubs may have a waitlist.

Educators Rising
LMS’s Educators Rising club is for students who have an interest in education-related careers. Students who join the club will learn what it means to be an effective teacher and leader, learn about career options within the field of education, understand needs of students and how to meet them in a variety of ways, how to create engaging activities, how to make decisions, and to reflect on their own practice. Members will learn the values of collaboration, fairness and equity, and professional ethics. Activities may include but are not limited to: guest speakers, lesson development and teaching, team building, school-based projects, and collaborative activities.

Football Club
Football club will begin each year following winter break and will run through the end of each school year. We meet three days a week. At the beginning of each session we meet in the classroom to make sure we are in good standing with our grades, and address any club club information we need to at that time. After meeting in the classroom, we move to the football field where we develop fundamental football skills. After that, we move into the weight room for weightlifting fundamentals and coaching. Football club is open to 7th/8th grade students only.
Our mission at LMS Football Club is to provide athletic and academic support in a safe, educational environment where student-athletes learn the fundamentals of football, develop strong character, and embrace the values of teamwork and commitment that extend beyond the field.
